Musick for a while The Path Towards the Goldberg Variations The word baroque is derived from the Portuguese, baroco, meaning ‘a pearl of irregular or bulbous shape’.  I wanted, in this programme to explore 150 years of music from that era, a period more diverse than any other apart from our own. We are delighted to welcome back this internationally famous guitarist, who at his own request, returns for what will undoubtedly be another popular concert.
